Lo siento para mi sangre...

Loosely translated, the title means "I'm sorry for my blood." And that is what I said to my salsa teacher today.  We were in the middle of class and I looked on the floor, and saw blood spots/smears (gross, I know) and asked who was bleeding.  Turns out, it was me.  I had worked myself in to such a dancing frenzy, I had no clue that I had cut myself and was bleeding all over the floor.  But then once I realized, I cleaned it up and kept dancing.  It's a little challenging to dance on bleeding feet.  Just for the record.  But I pushed through.  I'm loving taking these classes-- we learned a new move today-- I thought keeping the spin and the half turn straight was hard-- knowing which way to turn for each was confusing.  Well, try doing them together in one move.  Loco!  Haha.  So fun though.
Also, a big group of the teachers are planning on going to Panajachel again.  Should be a fun trip.  Also, my house brother and one of his friends were planning on going this weekend too, and we might meet up with them.  Its easy here to only interact with gringos, since we are at school all day, and don't get me wrong-- I love my American friends here.  But I'm enjoying getting to spend more and more time with Guatemalans.
If you remember, you could pray for our safety this trip.  I thought it was officially dry season here, but apparently there was a storm and it rained a LOT the past three days.  The last time we went to Panajachel we got stuck for several hours because there were multiple derrumbes.  That looked like this...

This was the first we got caught in.  They were starting to clear it away.

Slightly scary.

Also slightly scary-- my first set of parent teacher conferences are on Thursday... You can pray for that too :)
