All of these were taken today. Some of my teacher friends (see picture! Now you can picture faces when I mention the people I work with) and I went to get coffee and liquados at Pasaje Enrique. There was this one place I had been wanting to go-- its basically a restaurant on a balcony overlooking Central Park. And it was awesome. And a great opportunity to finally take some pictures.
Afterwards we went to watch a movie at this place where they have all kinds of DVDs and you just pick one and go in a room and watch it on a TV. Pretty much illegal in the US, but a great way to pass the time here :) We watched Letters to Juliet if you must know. And it was terrible. But terrible in the way that you just laugh because it is so bad and cheesy. I was crying. Definitely entertaining. The best was when a guy came in to see what we were watching. I thought he would leave immediately upon realizing it was a chick flick (x 10), but he actually stayed for a good while. But then it must have gotten unbearable, because after about 20 minutes he left.
It was a pretty relaxing weekend, overall. Yesterday I just stayed home by myself all day. Call me anti-social if you want, but I think it was much needed for me. Just some time to process, catch up on work, catch up on rest, read. It was glorious.

I want to start hiking soon. I miss it and there's lots of cool hikes here. A group of teachers hiked Santa Maria (a huge volcano) yesterday morning at 5AM. Its my goal to do that sometime this year. I just wasn't up for a 4 AM wakeup on a Saturday after a long week. And I've heard its pretty strenuous. I'm hoping to work my way up! I do love living in the mountains again :)
Oh, and the first grader I tutor got a 100 on her spelling test this week!! Its amazing to get to see when things click with the kids. Definitely a highlight.
